VE Day 80^th Anniversary - Thanks

Our thanks to all who attended the events held to commemorate VE Day's 80^th anniversary; with particular thanks to the Weston Centre and Croots for organising VE Day celebration events. We would also like to thank Tom Gray, the bagpiper and David Zydzienowski for raising the flag at Wirksworth Road corner; Jean Moss who gave a very informative presentation on the history of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the War Graves at Duffield Cemetery; and Judith Thorp whose poppies decorated the Cemetery Gate. And thanks as always go to the DCA, for putting up bunting and flags around the village, and the shops and businesses of Duffield for their window dressings.
