The 8th May 2020 represents an important milestone in our history as it marks the 75th anniversary of 8 May 1945 when peace emerged after nearly six years of war.
To mark this anniversary, the early May bank holiday in 2020 has been moved from Monday 4 May to Friday 8 May.

The Duffield Community Association has partnered with the British Heart Foundation to offer Duffield residents the chance to learn how to save a life with FREE CPR training at the Scout Hut, Hall Farm Road, Duffield.
The training will take place this Saturday, 15th February between 10am and 12 noon, parking is available at the adjacent St Margaret Clitherow Church.

In support of the consultation event being held this Saturday, 1st Feb at the Weston Centre from 1pm until 4pm, a short survey asking for residents' views on a number of aspects of village life is now available.

The Duffield Action Plan is put together by the Parish Council in consultation with local residents and decides the Council's priorities for improvements to be made in the village.

UPDATE: Remembrance Parade and Service Sunday 10 November 2019.Following discussion with Revd. Dr. James Hughes the Vicar of St Alkmunds it has been agreed that the parade will go ahead at 10.30pm. However the parade will not go to the Church because, although the water has receded, the flood water is contaminated and advice from the Environment Agency is to steer clear from it.The Parade will turn... Given the current flooding position and the anticipated rainfall today a decision on whether the Parade and Service will go ahead will be made by the Parish Clerk and Revd. Dr. James Hughes at 5pm on Saturday 9/11/19. We are considering all options to continue as safely as possible.
