A new piece of play equipment is set to be installed soon at Gray Rec, thanks to funding from the National Lottery and the Parish Council.
The National Lottery 'Awards for all' grant of £10,000 has topped up the funds allotted to the project by the Parish Council, helping to realise a long-held ambition to install more play and exercise equipment for use by older teenagers and adults.

Duffield Parish Council is seeking tender submissions for its 3-year Grounds Maintenance contract of open-spaces.
The contract runs for a three-year period from April 2022 to Mar 2025, with a possible extension period of up to two years.

In 2021 Duffield Parish Council carried out comprehensive online consultation prior to the publication of the Village Action Plan. 273 residents responded and the plan was published in final form in May. The process showed that there is strong support for walking and considerable support for cycling.

Calling local photographers! Ashley Franklin's Duffield Calendar for 2022 is currently still on sale, but big plans are afoot for the next one – due to be published October 2022.
Ashley Franklin, who produces calendars for both Duffield and Belper, has decided it's time to hand over the reins to someone else and offered the Parish Council the opportunity to take on the Duffield Calendar.

The Parish Council has recently approved a S137 Community Grant for an interpretation board which will provide information about the Snake Lane Weir 'Fish Pass Project', an initiative that aims to bring wild salmon back into the heart of Derbyshire for the first time in over a century.
