VE Day Stay-at-home celebration - Friday 8th May
This Friday, 8th May, marks 75 years since the guns fell silent at the end of the second world war in Europe and the May bank holiday has been moved to celebrate and reflect on this occasion.
While plans for a weekend of national celebrations have had to be postponed, we've seen a number of posts on social media to enjoy the day at home with your very own stay-at-home garden party, including this one with some suggested timings for the day.
So why not put up the bunting and enjoy a picnic in your front (or back) garden? Just don't forget to follow the social distancing rules.
For some other family activities to take part in, check out the links below for some ideas, including food to serve, bunting to make and lyrics to popular war time songs.
