Jan Thompson has been co-opted as the new Parish Councillor at the most recent Full Council meeting in July.
Jan's late husband, Colin Thompson, was the previous Council Chairman.

A skip has been placed at Eyes Meadow to help with the increased volume of litter, thanks to local resident Justin Fellows.

New floral hanging baskets along Town Street in Duffield will be installed on 25 June. To ensure social distancing measures are followed, the installation will be carried out at night, so if you live along Town Street or nearby please be aware that this is taking place.

Severn Trent Water have informed the Parish Council that due to the ongoing roadworks along Hazelwood Road, they will be installing temporary traffic lights at the junction with Avenue Road from next Tuesday to Friday.
This may affect visitors to Hazelwood Road Cemetery while the work is taking place.

A vacancy has arisen for a parish councillor which can now be filled through co-option (as no request for an election has been made, the Parish Council can select a new Councillor as part of a monthly Parish Council meeting).

During the bank holiday weekend a garage at Hazelwood Road Cemetery was broken into and gardening tools were taken, including hedge cutters, leaf blowers and chainsaw equipment.
