Co-option of Parish Councillor
A vacancy has arisen for a parish councillor which can now be filled through co-option (as no request for an election has been made, the Parish Council can select a new Councillor as part of a monthly Parish Council meeting).

Break-in at Hazelwood Road Cemetery
During the bank holiday weekend a garage at Hazelwood Road Cemetery was broken into and gardening tools were taken, including hedge cutters, leaf blowers and chainsaw equipment.

Arrangements for Full Council meeting: 3rd June 2020
Parish Council meetings are currently not being held as a public gathering due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The Clerk has set up a conference call facility via Cisco Webex where meetings will be held. Members of the public can join the meeting too.

New ‘Healthwatch’ help-line
For those who don't have easy access to the internet and have concerns about Covid-19, a new telephone help-line has been launched by Belper-based Healthwatch Derbyshire. Available to all Derbyshire residents, the number is 01773-880786, and is open Mon-Fri 10am-3.30pm.

Changes to Parish Council Committees
At the Parish Council Annual General Meeting held on 6th May 2020, the Council agreed to amend the Parish Council Committees so that they align with the Village Action Plan in addition to managing the day to day operations of the Council.

Parish Council grounds staff returning to work
The Parish Council decided at the Full Council Meeting on 6th May that the furloughed grounds staff will return to work next week to carry out the usual grounds maintenance at Eyes Meadow, Gray Recreation Ground and Hazelwood Road Cemetery.
Please respect all social distancing measures while they are still in place and avoid approaching grounds staff. Thank you.
