The Parish Council has recently approved a S137 Community Grant for an interpretation board which will provide information about the Snake Lane Weir 'Fish Pass Project', an initiative that aims to bring wild salmon back into the heart of Derbyshire for the first time in over a century.

A Remembrance Sunday Parade through Duffield is set to take place for the first time in three years in 2021, after the 2020 parade was brought down by Covid and in 2019 washed out due to flooding at the War Memorial.

Following the resignation of Cllr Chris Short in August, the Parish Council published notification of a casual vacancy.
A by-election was not requested and this was confirmed at the Full Council meeting on 8th September 2021. Consequently, the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

Due to the current wet weather. Our car park at Eyes Meadows will now be closed on THURSDAY 14TH OCTOBER 2021 from 8am until the contractors have completed the work (We expect this to be by the end of the day)
