UPDATE: The playground has now reopened (Friday 18th Sept).

We apologise for the continued closure of the playground, this is not due to Covid but because there is a fault with the seesaw which means it is unsafe to use. We will repair the equipment as soon as possible, in the mean time we are arranging to fence it off in the same way as the roundabout.

The Parish Council apologises that an event due to take place this Saturday that was publicised in the August issue of the Duffield Scene, has been postponed until Spring.

The event, to distribute garden wildflower seeds to residents, was due to take place in the morning on Saturday 5th September at Eyes Meadow. We're sorry for any disappointment caused.

Derbyshire County Council have advised that Eaton Bank, Little Eaton will be closed on 27th August 2020, 09:30 to 15:30 between its junction with Rigga Lane and a point 350 southeast of that junction (outside No.35) owing to BT work.

A skip has been placed at Eyes Meadow to help with the increased volume of litter, thanks to local resident Justin Fellows.

Severn Trent Water have informed the Parish Council that due to the ongoing roadworks along Hazelwood Road, they will be installing temporary traffic lights at the junction with Avenue Road from next Tuesday to Friday.

This may affect visitors to Hazelwood Road Cemetery while the work is taking place.
