The Council's Finance & Management Committee consider applications for grant award funding twice annually in May and November.
Grants are made under S137 Local government Act 1972 to local voluntary groups and charitable organisations where the use can be shown to be of benefit to the Parish or residents of the Parish.
Examples of grant awards made by the Parish Council are:
In 2014 -
£500 to Massive to assist with the purchase of new sofas
£300 to 1st Duffield Guides to assist with the purchase of new camping equipment
£250 to EVR to assist with the purchase of tools for the volunteers
£700 to DCA to assist with the purchase of Christmas trees and new Christmas lights
The deadline for applications is the 31st October/30th April.
